Norway - evangelism changes a life

I was in Norway for a Bible school with YWAM, and the base I was at did weekly evangelism. One week, I had been spending most of my time on homework and wanted a change of pace. As we prepared for evangelism with worship and spending time with God, a fire started within me to share the kingdom of God with those in Norway. I was super excited to go!

After about an hour of different conversations with no fruit, I was hungry to see God move. I asked God for a strategy and saw all these teens standing around that we hadn't talked to. I went into a store, bought some candy bars, then stood on a chair and announced to the teens that I'd give them a candy bar if they answered my questions. They huddled in front of me, ready to answer questions; I asked them to "name one of the ten commandments." They were stumped! I was surprised - Norway's stores are closed on Sunday for the Sabbath - I thought they'd at least get that one. After about 7 minutes of them trying, one of the teens finally guessed, "Do not kill."

After a while, a teen and I were talking, and she said that she wanted to kill herself. I said I don't want you to kill yourself; Jesus doesn't want you to kill yourself. Jesus loves you so much! She started to cry, and I asked her if she wanted a relationship with Jesus; she said, "Yes." I led her and a couple of other teens in the sinner's prayer and connected them to a church. Seeing how my simple yes to God can impact many lives worldwide is fun.
